Weather

Bright and sunny. Slightly warmer than earlier in the week, peaking at around 32°F.

Packed powder on groomed slopes. Crud elsewhere.

Story of the Day

After two days at Deer Valley, we went back to Park City for the final two days of the trip. The weather was a little warmer than earlier in the week, but there was still plenty of snow around.

At some stage during the day, Chris and I decided to abandon our attempt to ski every run in the resort during the week and just enjoy skiing in the sun. We spent most of the morning "cruising the blues", starting with a number of runs from Silverlode.

I think it was probably our run down McKonkey's Bowl that decided us not to try going everywhere. The snow was cut up and neither of use really enjoyed the run, so it was back to Silverlode for some high speed cruising.

After lunch we got a little bit more adventurous, and skied a fair proportion of black runs.

Around mid afternoon, we returned to the base area and caught up with Sue on First Time before going back up to higher elevations for a few months before the end of the afternoon.

For our last run, we took the traverse across from the top of King Conslidated and down Willy's Run to finish with more than 30,000 vertical feet.
